Personal approach and reliable collaboration you can always count on

Mostly involved in project sales and wholesale, AS Esvika Elekter is a company that sells electrical materials in the Estonian market. Esvika Elekter provided feedback on Metrotec’s strength and dependability as a partner. Logistics specialist Krista Pruuli and supply chain manager Raivo Malsroos shared their perspectives.

When did your cooperation with Metrotec begin, and how did you find them?
About a year ago. Metrotec somehow caught our attention online and in the media. The reason we started working with Metrotec was that we had previously used a similar solution for vehicle tracking and task management. Our previous service provider changed the nature of their service, and the new offering and platform no longer suited our needs. So we started looking around, ended up working with Metrotec, and now everything runs smoothly.

What is the greatest value you have gained from working with Metrotec?
The greatest value is the collaboration itself. Problems are resolved quickly. At the moment, we have received a solution from Metrotec similar to what we had before; it fits our needs very well – tasks, vehicle routes, tracking, and reporting. Support and communication are what make Metrotec an excellent partner. With Metrotec, you can feel a more Estonia-focused and personalized approach.

What is the structure of your workflow?

  1. Salespeople enter trips into the Metrotec system.
  2. The logistics specialist assigns them to delivery routes.
  3. The logistics specialist keeps the Metrotec environment open throughout the day – monitoring vehicles and managing their work through it.

How many people in your company use the Metrotec platform?
About 50 people across Estonia. Recently, we have created a separate account in Metrotec for our Tartu branch. Now the Tallinn and Tartu branches are separate, which makes monitoring easier and reduces confusion – everyone only sees the information relevant to their own branch.

What do you do if you have questions about using the Metrotec platform?
We have an in-house employee who guides and trains all users. If they have any questions, they contact the Metrotec representative directly. In addition, the platform includes a built-in help section with guides where users can find answers when needed. Otherwise, the Metrotec platform is very simple and logical; there is nothing complicated about it.

How much of the day do you typically use the Metrotec platform?
The Metrotec platform is open all day and used continuously, as new trips are added on an ongoing basis. We need to respond promptly to ensure all trips are completed on time. Metrotec is the main tool for our logistics team.

What are the biggest challenges in your industry right now?
In the electrical materials sector, the biggest challenges are price pressure and strong competition, further intensified by the economic downturn. The ban on materials originating from Russia also impacts the market. Additionally, the slowdown in the construction sector reduces demand.

Are there any upward trends you are noticing?
It can be said that the popularity of electric vehicle chargers has increased – we have been selling more of them recently. In lighting, LED lamps are on the rise as certain older light sources are no longer allowed to be sold due to European Union directives. Green energy is also becoming an increasingly relevant topic in society.

What do your customers expect from you the most?
Fast delivery, reasonable pricing, and also advice and knowledgeable support.
